Those 2 sites are really good if you're building your computer. Building your system will mostly always be cheaper unless the company is giving a crazy deal to make money elsewhere. Also building it gives you more customization options but if you don't want to fool with do it yourself stuff, just go ahead and buy one from a company.

newegg.com definately... if you want to stay closer to that $1000 limit Id get AMD. If you wanna go all out get Intel.

If you go intel make sure you get a motherboard with a PCI-E 16x slot... that's PCI express 16x for the new video cards.

you could also google stuff like 'building computers' lol im sure there'll be a tut out there.

i strongly recommend not getting a dell, hp, compaq, or other systems like that, as, for example dell, they cut corners on parts like the power supply and cooling to save money and you end up getting screwed in the long run.

If you absolutely dont want to build your own PC go with falcon northwest or the dealer that built yeormom's PC...

There is no use for PCI Express yet. The advantages have yet to be seen. There will be a use later, but no one really knows how long. The main thing we need to know is whether Warson is trying to build a gaming rig, or an internet browser with all the bells and whistles. If you go gaming, spd is right. Get a intel chipset with pci express. If you're not really going to game, just pick up a motherboard with an AGP 8x slot as these boards tend to be cheaper but the same quality. They're just older chipsets. For example, I found this motherboard while browsing today.

Now, that is a deal my friends. Check out the regular price and then the rebate. Then look at final price. Awesome.

I'm not going to comment on that ill-educated comment but...

It looks like the squirrel is getting flamed.
