well, this one's pretty tough, but here goes, in no particular order:

1. GTA Series (Hard to pick just one)
2. Call of Duty Series (Single Player missions are the ownage)
3. SWAT4
4. Age of Empires III (Can only speak for this one, not it's predecessors)
5. Half-Life Series

4) SWAT series, especially SWAT 3
5) America's Army (7mil+ players)

1. Age of Empires
2. Half Life
3. Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 (continued storyline)
4. Sim City 2000 (old but one of the more complex micro management games for its time)
5. Any Mechwarrior brand game by Activision. All games by Microprose and Microsoft do not hold true to the storyline nor strategy that the Activision games did. I mean come on, unlimited missle rack >_> wtf?

These are games that I've played on the computer that are top picks. There are a few I would consider top 5 based on their popularity but can't say that I find them so because I haven't had time to play them.

1. Age of Empires
2. EverQuest
3. SimCity
4. Warcraft II
5. Half-life

Games based on statistical comparison of other games during their time in all genres; gameplay lifespan in return as highest priority with consideration for opponent spinoffs, graphics, compatibility, copies sold, and market interest.

I can't stand half-life but it's going to make the top 5 irl~ Other top selling games: I couldn't rank any GTA series as they are definately not PC games. Starcraft not listed as it is a spin off of Warcraft. The Sims not listed because my statistics arn't based off the opinions of nine year olds. Myst not listed because...yeah do I really need to explain? kk thx
