AMD ceased production of the 2x1MB AM2 chips and claimed them a failure. Also, AMD has begun to sell off processor lines to other companies. Interesting huh? Me thinks AMD got a little happy with capital spending and r getting teh own now with publication of Q1 reports and Q2 up for grabs.

lol yeah AMD has cut, or is going to cut most of their processors from production. I am making the move from AMD to Intel at the right time, currently AMD has moved from the best bang for the buck category to, well, I don't know what. Their dual core procs are too expensive when you have most of Intel's Dual Core processor line moving to under $200 while the 3800+ is like $300. And I serriously doubt 2800+>930.

Pity they were a nice aternative to Intel for years, maybe they can pull a card out from their sleeves, but that is highly unlikely unless they haul ass on K8L.

I've been an AMD guy for as long as I can remember but as I'm looking forward to my next PC upgrade, I'm going to have to switch over to Intel as they have the better price points and more reliable Processors. Bye AMD, you will be missed (the Athlon XP lineup that is)

the Conroe lineup is going to be awesome with the prices not too much higher than what Intel has already. Oh yes, Conroe will be mine.
