 Post subject: ATI 'redoing' x1900 core

not much, they are moving the R580 core of the x1900 to the 80nm process, which equals a higher yeild, lower costs, and less heat. price drop after that?

this, along with ATI's Crossfire express 3200 chipset shots that they are going for higher efficiency.

the 3200 chipset has a slightly reduced feature set (no Gb ethernet), but uses only 8W, has 32 lanes of PCIe onboard specifically for the graphics card (Nvidia equivilants have 16 thru northbridge, 16 thru south)
