I have read of a rumor that Google is releasing it's own free email service where each person has a 1GB inbox - the featured technology being the built in e-mail search...lol

Yea I just saw it on the news.how long is that going to last? i'm sure the 1gb memory will have a fee i'm sure.and there will prolly be a limit for the free service. hmm fooglemynoodle@goggle.com that would be amazing

Well, Google figures how many people are really gonna take one gig? Unless people are using it for file transfers, most people never will. So say they have a 1 terrabite hard drive in a server. Technically, that would hold 1,000 inboxes right? In all relatility, it'll will host millions. They are making a move to completely steal that industry. Google has been going big time on adverstment lately so this is just another big step for them.

In other news, AOL is representing with a new e-mail system for non-aol subscribers~ now, all AIM screen names have a 2GB e-mail address...when will the e-mail wars stop?
