Interesting. This is going to be pin-compatible with Harpertown processors (current server quad) and is meant for configurations up to 24 Cores in one setup.

it's gonna be like pent D, kentsfield and company on a larger scale. 3 native dual cores that communicate over FSB

Windows 2010 Recommended Requirements:
Intel Platforms: Core HAX2 16 or more Cores (4 Minimum)
AMD Platforms: Not Recommended (Quad Black X3s Minimum w/o Aero2)
Memory: 8GB Minimum (still using inefficient PAE)
Video: NV9980 GX8 or ATI4500 Crossfire x4 (NV GX2 Minimum)

All so you can use teh new 3d calculator~
